Their fried hokkien mee is definitely the wet type, not much wok hei. The broth is quite flavourful though. Their pork lard and lemon juice is self served. The $6 portion is quite little, comes with 2 medium-sized prawns some sotong strips and ...

Black Carrot Cake was decent, but the lack of spring onions to be sprinkled was disappointing to me. Fried Hokkien Mee is not well mixed, as some portion was salty while another was bland, though the use of thin (instead of thick) Bee Hoon works well for me...

Queen Street Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee (#01-104) @ Albert Center Market and Food Center. Summary in short: 4.5/5 stars, for the location. Free flow fried pork lard, pre squeezed lime juice or bottled lime juice. Great location. Fast service and good prawn with good portion of ingredients. Wet base too. Very decent plate. Recommended. -- More details if you are still keen to read on. Available order size $6/8/10. Ordered $6 plus $4 ingredients, total $10. Asked lady chef to cook till stronger taste. Finally managed to try this HKM after bookmarking from a fellow member here. Hours only till 530pm, so really must find a time slot to come. Wanted to come early so that there's still fried pork lard. Saw a very young lady at the stall and first impression was, Is she the one who is frying. In the end I think it is too rude to ask then I just ordered as I already came specially. Possibly she or the young guy who came later fried it. It was a very good plate regardless of who fried it. Love bar phey so was anticipative of how the taste could be enhanced. It was just alright, did not manage to soak up that much juice. But the base of the HKM was very flavourful. Was delighted that they did not serve sotong which could be just the frozen kind or rubbery. The fake abalone tastes delicious and added some good crunchy texture. 5 medium to averagely large prawns, pork belly was tender and in good-sized slices. Chilli packs a punch and there is still leftover heat after eating. But I prefer not to mix the chilli to have the full taste. Fried prawn lard is free flow. Fresh and crunchy. Sorry I took a bit more. Anyway closing soon. Should still be enough for 10-20 more plates. Realised that the smaller portions were served in trays of a lower depth. My tray was higher. But still for $6 add liao ... hearty eaters might need to order some other food to fill their stomach. Generally small portion. Only Ong at Geylang Bahru is ...

Decent Hokkien Mee. Tasty and creamy. Very few tiny prawns, mock abalone did nothing for the dish. Wish they just replace it with more prawns. Noodles are the highlight of this meal for sure. Perfectly cooked for my liking. Really liked ...
