P*DA20: Power of Singapore Design closes on Sunday 1 November 2026. The exhibition sits in Stamford Gallery at the National Museum of Singapore, 93 Stamford Road. Daily 10am to 7pm, last admission 6.30pm. Free for everyone. This is the last week to walk it.
The President*s Design Award began in 2006. DesignSingapore Council and the Urban Redevelopment Authority present it. The President of Singapore confers it. This show gathers 47 Designers of the Year and 130 Designs of the Year from those 20 years. Stamford Gallery is on Level 1 of the museum. The Singapore History Gallery reopened on 10 October after a three-year revamp. P*DA20 is a separate room on the same floor. You can do both in one visit.
The LED atlas and four zones
BLACK, led by Jackson Tan, curated the hang. Tan won a 2007 P*DA with Phunk. A 27.5 square metre interactive LED atlas sits in the middle of the gallery. URA's 18 September press release calls it an atlas of Singapore design. You tap through every recipient to date. Sketches, prototypes and working materials sit in cases, some shown in public for the first time.
Four zones follow the award's criteria. Enabling Economic Transformation includes the AIR+ Smart Mask and Micro Ventilators by Innosparks, Design of the Year 2015, and architect Angelene Chan of DP Architects, Designer of the Year 2018. Raising Quality of Life includes Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by CPG Consultants, Silver Pride Lion Troupe by NextOfKin Creatives, Design of the Year 2025, and Chan Soo Khian's SkyTerrace @ Dawson. Making Groundbreaking Achievements in Design groups Hans Tan, Theseus Chan of WORK, and WOHA. Advancing Singapore Brand, Culture and Community includes Supermama's Singapore Icons porcelain and Kinetic Singapore's School of Tomorrow.
What you actually see
The Straits Times walked the same room on 18 September. Yamini Chinnuswamy noted sketches and prototypes that had not been public. Business Times, a day earlier, put Gardens by the Bay, Design of the Year 2013, next to the AIR+ mask as the kind of pairing the show makes. One case holds Andrew Gn's work. Another holds a model of New Majestic Hotel's front lawn, Design of the Year 2008. The LED floor maps projects such as Punggol preschools while a visitor console sits at the edge of the atlas.
Hack Care: Tips and Tricks for a Dementia-Friendly Home is Design of the Year 2023. Ong Ker-Shing and Joshua Comaroff of Lekker Architects made it with Lanzavecchia + Wai for the Lien Foundation. Leonard Ng, Designer of the Year 2023, appears in the same quality-of-life bay. Home & Decor listed the address as Stamford Gallery, Level 1, on 16 October. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam opened the exhibition on 17 September, with DesignSingapore's Dawn Lim and URA chief executive Adele Tan on the same dais.
The tours already ran. The gallery stays open.
P*DA20 Design Tours left the museum on 17 and 18 October. One route went to Delta Sport Centre and Enabling Village. The other went to Jurong Lake Gardens with Leonard Ng, then SJ Campus. Those buses have left. Stamford Gallery keeps the same hours until 1 November. You walk it without a tour ticket.
From Bugis MRT walk west on Bras Basah Road. About 10 minutes. Bras Basah, Dhoby Ghaut and City Hall drop you closer. The museum is open daily. Foreign visitors pay for the permanent galleries. P*DA20 itself stays free. Last admission 6.30pm, so a late afternoon from 武吉士 still fits if you skip a long History Gallery loop.
After 1 November the next large DesignSingapore public date on the calendar is New Everyday Life, By Design, 14 November to 6 December. That show sits on the North East Line. The atlas in Stamford Gallery is the one that ends this week.
