Bugis Night Lights 2026: Bugis Town After Dark With Pop-ups, Runs, And Live Music
Bugis Night Lights is back for its fourth year, turning Bugis Junction, Bugis+, and Bugis Street collectively known as Bugis Town into a night-time destination from 11 August to 21 September 2026. The programme runs alongside the Singapore Night Festival and Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis, making the Bugis precinct the busiest it gets all year after dark.
The event splits across the three properties, each offering a different flavour of evening entertainment. If you are planning a night out in the Bugis area, here is what is on.
Bugis+ Pop-ups And activations
Bugis+ L2 Atrium hosts the MINISO x Moetch Sanrio Fluff Tea Party pop-up from 8 to 31 August. It is a whimsical world of Sanrio characters with photo spots and exclusive merchandise, and it draws a younger crowd that queues for selfies with the installations.
From 6 to 7 September, the SG:SW I Write The Songs live showcase returns to Bugis+ L2 Atrium for its ninth edition. The two-day event features emerging local music talents performing original songs, and it is free to attend. If you want to discover Singapore songwriters before they break, this is the event.
The Tron: Ares pop-up runs from 15 September to 20 October at Bugis+ L1 Open Plaza. You can take photos with the Tron light cycle and take on a challenge to win exclusive premiums. It is a marketing activation for the film, but the light cycle replica is genuinely impressive.
Bugis Junction: Photo Walks And Teva Pop-up
The Photographic Society of Singapore runs night photo walks at Bugis Junction on 22 August, 29 August, and 5 September. The walks are guided, and they take you through the Bugis precinct with instructors who help you capture the Night Festival light-ups. Bring a camera with manual controls, as phone cameras struggle in low light.
Teva brings its For Play Ground Earth pop-up to Bugis Junction L1 Bugis Sq from 12 to 21 September. It is a playground-themed installation inspired by iconic Singapore playgrounds, and the Teva Night Run and Walk happens every Friday during the pop-up on 12 and 19 September. Participants test out the new Aventra R2T sandals and receive a discount voucher.
Bugis Street: Retro District And Neon Art
Bugis Street Art Lane hosts Retro District, a nostalgic festival village curated by Resurrack from 22 August to 7 September. Running Fridays from 6pm to 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 10pm, it features vintage collectibles and fashion, classic games, a retro-themed photo booth, and live performances by local artists.
The neon art installation by artist Megan, known as maegzter, is at Bugis+ and is worth seeking out. It uses neon tubes and mirrors to create an immersive light space that photographs well from multiple angles.
Spending Rewards
CapitaStar members can earn a $10 eCapitaVoucher with a minimum spend of $120 at selected Beauty and Fashion stores across Bugis Junction and Bugis+. The promotion is valid Mondays to Fridays only, which makes it a good reason to do your shopping on a weeknight rather than a weekend.
